The Grand Mercure Monaco Nelson - Not your usual hotel. Eccentrically designed to represent an English village, there is an eclectic combination of materials influenced by period English designs throughout. Bay windows and ornate details reflecting back to an era that didn't really exist in New Zealand's architectural vernacular. Why you ask? Perhaps it had something to do with the origins of Monaco Peninsula and its history.
