An extensive redesign of the public areas, including the bar, restaurant, spa and gym. Along with a new executive lounge and full refurbishment of the lobby and arrival spaces. Our story is wrapped around two travellers who meet for the first time at the hotel. Eccentrically designed to represent an English village, there is an eclectic combination of materials influenced by period English designs throughout. Bay windows and ornate details reflecting back to an era that didn't really exist in New Zealand's architectural vernacular. Why you ask? The design team sought to take the guest on a journey, from city to beach, from Auckland to Rangitoto, where structure turns to nature. The Reddy Group Auckland office design encompasses the families heritage, while effortlessly looking to the future. Dark timber tones and natural fabrics are used throughout, inspired by traditional Pacific Island designs. Working closely with our overseas client and local Seascape team Y6 created a design that was showcased in Denizen magazine Autumn 2022. Our design is influenced by the amazing views of Auckland and the textural and material palette of the horizon and locality within the city of Auckland.
